A few years back, I produced a couple of benefit albums consisting of holiday music - all to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity and Music Rising.

One of my favorite tracks from those projects was an out-of-left-field curve-ball delivered to me.

It was by no means a Christmas song - let alone a holiday song or even a song about winter.

But I realized that it cut to the heart of what the holidays are all about.
